My paintings manipulate light in a way that invites the viewer to come along on the journey. The structure of the work provides a roadmap for the eye. But the path is impressionistic, leaving the mind to fill in the blanks and the observer's soul to complete the scene.
Each piece of art invites you on a different journey. And even though the eventual destination can be uncertain, the trip will provoke thought, feeling, and action.
Have a look around and see where the journey takes you.

"Jamie, your talent blows me away. From a simple phone image, you captured the essence of Bliss. The depiction of her eyes, her tongue, and that black bottom lip are excellent, but your ability to use light in her image the way you did leaves us in awe. I keep looking and seeing new things, and I shed another tear. Bliss was my daughter’s dog, but she decided to choose me 14 years ago as “her person.” I never wanted a dog, and the mark this dog left on my heart is indelible. Thank you." Craig P
"As soon as I walked in the front door to Wine O'Clock, one of your paintings caught my eye and I stared at it over my husband's shoulder through the whole meal. Afterward, I took him to the painting and told him the light in it looked like Seattle - wet, winter darkness and ambient warm light. The hostess then showed us your other paintings and I fell in love with your wine glass in the grotto." Aimee B
"I just want to say how much I was drawn to Encapsulated, (which I have just bought). You have captured exactly my impressions of the Perito Moreno glacier that my husband and I visited in early 2017. I do mean exactly. Moreover, your comments on movement are so appropriate. A glacier appears stationary but is, of course, constantly moving, metamorphosing. Whilst we were there, we were fortunate to witness several, quite major carvings; the rush of that collapse giving life to the creeping nature of this magnificent feature; the deep blue scarring reflecting the process, both in terms of what has occurred and pointing the way to what will come. The glacier made an enormous impression on us. We would like to thank you for the wonderful gateway you have given us into our memories." Fiona, F.
